About billing

Northwestern Ambulance Corps, although being volunteer operated and non-profit, is still a business with expenses and overhead just like the corner store or the large corporation. We could not survive and provide emergency medical services if we did it for free. We do however provide our services with a goal of just breaking even each year. We invest all of our revenue back into the service, updating the vehicles, the medical equipment, training and providing a competitive wage and benefit package for our employees.

If we could survive and operate on donations alone, we would. In today's business world, especially in health care, it is very expensive for us (any ambulance service for that matter) to provide the care you expect... the care you deserve. To continue to provide that care to you means that we have to generate income.

When you call 911, our first priority is your health and safety. Just like a doctor does, when we provide you with a service we will send you a bill. Northwestern Ambulance Corps relies on billing you or your health or auto insurance for payment. If your insurance company doesn't pay us, or doesn't pay us enough, you will need to pay the difference - just like a bill at the doctors office. You are responsible for the payment, but in most cases your insurance will either pay us or reimburse you.

Our yearly Subscription plan can save you money if you need our services. Click here for more information.

At Northwestern Ambulance Corps, we prefer to concentrate on providing the ultimate in modern emergency medical care, we do not want to spend our time or resources on billing and collections. Northwestern Ambulance Corps contracts our billing to Multimed Billing located in upstate New York. They are a caring and professional organization that helps us to bill our fees to you and your insurance company. They will work on your behalf to keep on top of the insurance company and to help cut through the red tape. If you have no insurance they will work with you so you can pay your bill to us with fair payment programs.
